I bought the iPod Touch OS 3.0 about 3 weeks ago. Here are some things I noticed:
1. My iPod starts up and shuts down at a greatly reduced speed than before.
2. The Application screen now has a search mode to the far left.
3. The keyboard background is now slightly transparent.
4. Applications can now send push notifications.
5. Most of my applications now start slower and randomly crash.
6. I cannot hold down the home button to close out of an application. :’(
7. Battery life seems to be longer than before.
8. Bluetooth was added.
Just to let everyone know, that’s what I noticed myself about the new OS. I did not even look at the release notes or anything. So I just wanted to give this as a “blind consumer” review.

Dan

Here are some things to consider and know before you overclock your system.
1. Overclock means pushing your hardware past it’s reccommended and default settings. Ex. Pushing processor speed from 2.1 GHZ to 3.0 GHZ.
2. Overclocking will cause your systems temperature to rise. Always consider extra cooling when overclocking.
3. Before you perform any overclocking, check of your motherboard supports internal, external, or no overclocking options.
4. If you think, “I’ll just overclock my RAM.” You’re wrong. Overclocking RAM without overclocking the CPU won’t really result to much.
5. Make sure you don’t over-overclock your processor. The processor can easily overheat and eventually corrupt itself.
Although this is NOT a guide to overclocking a system, these precautions can help with deciding if you actually want to take the time to overclock or not.
Want to quickly zoom in on something on the screen? Here’s a quick tip that some Mac users may not know. Used in Mac OS X Leopard.
Holding the control button, scroll up using your Mighty Mouse (or whatever mouse you’re using). This will basically magnify the current view and let you move your mouse around. To zoom out, simply scroll back while holding the control button.
